Graduate Women in Science (SDE-GWIS) was established in 1921 and incorporated in 1922, with the mission of advancing the participation and recognition of women in science and to foster research through grants, awards, and fellowships. The Omega chapter is the SDE-GWIS chapter-at-large and is comprised of national and international members that do not live near one of the active local chapters.
